The Karnataka government has annulled the licenses of 110 pharmacies for failing to report the sales data of medicines used for treating symptoms similar to Covid-19 amid the pandemic, an official said on Tuesday.
“The licenses of 110 pharmacies who failed to share the sales reports of ILI and SARI related drugs with the government have been suspended,” Health Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey said.
The state has instructed all druggists to inform it about people purchasing medicines for fever, cough and cold, and other COVID-like symptoms.
Seventy of the pharmacies whose licenses got revoked are in Kalaburagi, while Bengaluru has three.
