Several people were hurt in a Texas storm
According to authorities, a house under construction collapsed during a storm in Conroe, Texas, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to seven others. Conroe Assistant Fire Chief Mike Legoudes Jr. stated that two people were pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the injured individuals was not known at the time.
The collapsed house was in its early construction stages, with work being done on the second floor but no sheetrock or similar materials installed yet, according to Legoudes. It remains uncertain if the storm directly caused the collapse in the town located approximately 64 km north of Houston.
A local resident mentioned witnessing hail, darkening skies, and heavy rainfall for about 10 to 15 minutes, followed by the sound of emergency vehicles arriving in the area.
