Two terrorists were killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.
“Two unidentified terrorists have been killed in the Kulgam encounter, the operation is going on,” police said
The encounter broke out in the Shimmer village of Kulgam after a joint team of police and other security forces cordoned off the area on the basis of a specific intelligence input about the presence of terrorists in the area.
As the security forces zeroed in on the spot where the terrorists were hiding, they came under a heavy volume of fire that triggered the gunfight.
