24+ Lakh votes removed in Hyderabad

As many as 24 Lakh votes have been removed in the city of Hyderabad. On the command of Election Commission of India, the State Election Commission carried out a door-to-door survey in 36 constituencies of Hyderabad. The commission has prepared the latest voters list on the basis of surveying 24 constituencies in the purview of GHMC – Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, few constituencies in the limits of Municipal Corporation and 2 rural constituencies.
As per the survey 24, 20, 244 votes have been removed by the officials from the previous voter’s list. 5, 82, 138 new voters have been added to the existing list.
The state election commission also released an official notification regarding any changes that need to be made. ‘If any voter has any query about their details in the voter’s list or absence of their name in the voter’s list, they should contact the state election commission before December 27th, 2017.’
The removal of 24+ lakhs votes in these constituencies in Hyderabad has become a subject of controversy among the political leaders.
