Hanuman Ansh has turned into one of the most unexpected success stories of 2026. The devotional drama, inspired by the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, arrived in theatres on August 7 with minimal pre-release buzz. Its opening was modest, with the film collecting around Rs. 10 lakh on day one.
However, positive word of mouth gradually changed its fortunes. Instead of fading away after the opening weekend, Hanuman Ansh continued to attract audiences and steadily gained momentum in the following weeks. The film’s strong hold has now transformed it into a genuine sleeper hit.
Strong Ticket Sales in the Fourth Week
The film’s remarkable staying power is evident from its latest ticket-sales figures. Even on day 25, Hanuman Ansh is continuing to draw significant interest from moviegoers.
According to the latest BookMyShow data, the film sold 168.69K tickets in the last 24 hours. Interestingly, that figure is higher than the ticket sales recorded by much newer releases such as Ravi Teja’s Irumudi, which registered 139.43K tickets, and Yash’s Toxic, which recorded 119.32K during the same period.
The numbers are particularly impressive considering the massive difference in release age and initial hype surrounding these films.
From Rs. 10 Lakh Opening to Sleeper Success
The journey of Hanuman Ansh has been anything but conventional. A film that started with a modest Rs. 10 lakh day-one collection has managed to build a substantial audience through sustained word of mouth.
By the end of its 25th day, the movie is estimated to have collected around Rs. 45 crore nett in India, while its worldwide gross is said to be approximately Rs. 54 crore.
The film’s late surge and consistent occupancy demonstrate how positive audience feedback can sometimes turn a low-profile release into a major theatrical success. With Hanuman Ansh continuing to perform strongly even in its fourth week, its extraordinary turnaround has become one of the most interesting box-office stories of the year.
