The central government is said to be considering easing up of the lockdown protocols in the state, after May 3rd. This is to enable the healing of the Indian economy, which has been suffering because of the nationwide lockdown.
The state of Karnataka has already started to put this into motion, by allowing inter-state travel. Karnataka had started out with a huge number of cases at the start of the pandemic in the country. However, the state has seen a major decrease in the number of cases ever since then.
The total number of cases in Karnataka now stands at 557. This is a very less number when compared to many other states.An official confirmation from the Central Government is still awaited, about the position of lockdown after May 3rd.
