TTD’s ‘Govinda App’ Launch

The world is at everyone’s fingertips, thanks to the digital revolution. From what seemed impossible a decade ago, everything seems possible. With the technological revolution in smartphone technology and data services, accessing information has never been much easier. ‘Digitization’ was one of the key elements in PM Modi 2014 election campaigning.
Now, the TTD [Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam] had taken a major step in digitalization. Government-backed rest houses are available at just Rs.50 on Tirumala. But many pilgrims find it difficult to book a slot for them. Similarly, many devotees and pilgrims rely on commission agents and third-party persons for various services on Tirumala.
To eliminate such difficulties, and to make pilgrim’s stay at Tirumala much easier, safer and happier, the TTD has come forward with a unique app called ‘Govinda’. The prestigious Govinda App is created by TCS [Tata Consultancy Services] with the help of various departments of TTD.
The Govinda App would feature 12 inbuilt applications right from booking rest houses, Dakshan tickets and various other services on Tirumala. The app is currently in beta stage and further improvements are in progress. The TTD stated that it also featured one-touch ‘Feedback/Complaint’ form for the pilgrims. Let us hope that ‘Govinda’ App makes our pilgrimage to Govinda much easier and enjoyable.
