When a prestigious Pan-India banner like Mythri Movie Makers backs a small, content-driven film like 8 Vasantalu, it signals something truly special. At the film’s pre-release event, director Phanindra Narsetti made a passionate appeal to audiences:
“Don’t miss the first scene—the story unfolds in reverse.”
Phanindra expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mythri Movie Makers for believing in the film’s vision. He also showered praise on lead actress Ananthika Sanilkumar, calling her a rare talent.
“Ananthika didn’t even discuss remuneration. For a 17-year-old to recognize the value of money and still choose not to take any shows her immense dedication,” he said.
The director further added that while 8 Vasantalu isn’t a typical commercial film, it carries powerful emotional depth, especially in a fight sequence set in Varanasi that, he claims, delivers “an emotional punch more impactful than action.”
In her speech, Ananthika thanked the team and shared how personal the film was for her:
“Though I’ve worked in a few films before, nothing has felt as profound as 8 Vasantalu. Playing Shuddhi — a character so layered and strong — was a dream come true. I connected with her deeply.”
She noted that the film blends action, emotion, and love, offering a story that will stay with the audience.
The producers revealed that casting Ananthika took a country-wide search, as the character demanded someone trained in classical dance and martial arts skills; and she brought with her natural grace.
