The Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment (HR&CE) division will redesign 80 sanctuaries that are 1,000 years of age.
The division Minister P.K. Sekar Babu in an explanation on Thursday said that the ‘state government was not against the Hindus as was being made out from specific corners for political mileage’.
The pastor said that six sanctuaries in the state will get Rajagopurams (tower entryways) at an expense of Rs 27.70 crore and added that ‘Annadhanams’ (giving food) will be presented in 10 additional sanctuaries.
