Recently a video started doing rounds on social media, where a middle-aged Muslim man could be seen calling abuses at people of other religions, and then wiping his dripping nose and mouth with currency notes. Later he asked his fellow members of the religion to distribute such notes among public such that they could wage holy war on infidels.
Identifying that the man is none other than Sayyed Jameel (aged 40) from Nashik and has uploaded the first video on TikTok, immediately Maharashtra police have swung into action. Under sections 153 and 188 of the India Penal Code, police have arrested him from Malegaon near Nashik. Any calls to spread coronavirus by any person in India is not only illegal but attracts huge punishments too.
While police confirmed that the man is in police custody, right now netizens are worried if he is a COVID-19 negative or positive case. And then, rumours are spreading about if some people might have got inspired by his call and started soiling the notes already. These is something police and authorities should give clarity about as no one knows how long coronavirus could live on each surface.
