The Andhra Pradesh chief minister who is working relentlessly for the completion of Polavaram despite no support from the central government is looking for other alternatives to complete this most prestigious project in time.
Though it has been included in A.P reorganization act, the centre has stalled the funds to this National project citing some or the other reasons. The chief minister is so dedicated and determined when it comes to the most prestigious project Polavaram and it has been proceeding with the state allocated budget only. The situation has become much worse after TDP breaking the ally with BJP.
Vexed with the attitude of central government delaying the project, Chandrababu Naidu has ordered Water Resource Development Corporation(WRDC) to approach the commercial banks for loans such that when the centre releases the amount, the government will repay it. The government is determined to give water through gravity by June 2019. In order to complete it in time, the project cannot be given any break. Keeping this in mind, the chief minister has come with an alternative way of approaching commercial banks for loans.
