Actress Adah Sharma is excited about her upcoming film ‘The Kerala Story’, which she says is a poignant tale about life and death. In her recent statement, she clarified that the movie is not propaganda and credited the entire crew for her performance.
In the film, Adah Sharma plays the role of Fathima Ba, a Hindu Malayali nurse who was abducted and forced to convert to Islam before being recruited by ISIS along with thousands of other women who went missing from Kerala.
The movie, directed by Sudipto Sen, tells the story of four young women who were once regular college students in Kerala and were later radicalized to become part of a terror organization.
The film has faced criticism for portraying itself as a real story and making false claims about recruiting thousands of women from Kerala into ISIS. It has also faced allegations of promoting the agenda of the Sangh Parivar.

Responding to the controversy, Adah said that the film is about the horrific experiences of young women who are drugged, brainwashed, raped, trafficked, and forced into becoming suicide bombers.
She emphasized that the movie is about life and death and that those who accuse it of being propaganda will see otherwise once they watch the film and understand the facts.
