India’s space agency, ISRO, has achieved great things in 2023 and has ambitious plans for 2024.
2023 Highlights:

- Aditya-L1: India launched its first-ever mission to study the sun. This spacecraft is now on its way to its final destination.
2024 Plans:
- Aditya-L1: The spacecraft will reach its final spot on January 6th to study the sun closely.
- XPoSat: This newly launched satellite will study X-rays from black holes and other space objects.
- Gaganyaan: ISRO plans at least two more test flights before sending an astronaut to space in 2025!
- Many more missions: ISRO aims to launch 12-14 missions in total this year, covering various areas like Earth observation and communication satellites.
