Aditya-L1 To Reach Its Destination on January 6th

India’s space agency, ISRO, has achieved great things in 2023 and has ambitious plans for 2024.

2023 Highlights:

  • Chandrayaan-3: India successfully landed a spacecraft on the south pole of the moon!
  • Aditya-L1: India launched its first-ever mission to study the sun. This spacecraft is now on its way to its final destination.

2024 Plans:

  • Aditya-L1: The spacecraft will reach its final spot on January 6th to study the sun closely.
  • XPoSat: This newly launched satellite will study X-rays from black holes and other space objects.
  • Gaganyaan: ISRO plans at least two more test flights before sending an astronaut to space in 2025!
  • Many more missions: ISRO aims to launch 12-14 missions in total this year, covering various areas like Earth observation and communication satellites.

Overall, 2024 promises to be another exciting year for Indian space exploration, with a focus on Gaganyaan and further scientific discoveries.

India also has long-term goals like building a space station and sending an astronaut to the moon by 2040!
