Air India Flight Operates ‘Operation Ajay’ to Repatriate Stranded Indians in Israel:
An Air India flight carrying approximately 200 passengers from Tel Aviv landed in the national capital early on Friday.
The flight, AI 1140, was chartered as part of Operation Ajay and departed for Israel on Thursday.
Operation Ajay was initiated by India to assist the return of Indian citizens who want to come back home following a series of bold attacks on Israeli towns by Hamas militants, which led to renewed tensions in the region.
Sources suggest that Air India may operate additional chartered flights to repatriate individuals from Israel as needed.
