Airbus manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chairperson Nara Chandrababu Naidu who is currently in Davos, for the Economic World Forum is busy luring multinational companies to Andhra Pradesh. The AP CM met Airbus Defense and Space CEO Dirk Hoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
During his meeting, Chandrababu Naidu assured complete support and facilities for setting up an Airbus manufacturing plant in the state. The AIRBUS manufacturing plant is likely to come up in Anantapur district. Dirk Hoke also confirmed that AIRBUS is currently working on clearances in setting up a C-295 manufacturing plant in India. AIRBUS will be in associating with TATA Aerospace in 2018 for the manufacturing plant establishment.
There is no assurance whether AIRBUS will choose Andhra Pradesh as the destination for its upcoming venture. The AIRBUS officials introduced a new league of 3D printing technology, and their ability to manufacture a metal gear wheel. Chandrababu Naidu briefly discussed the set-up of new-generation 3D printers in the Vizag Medtech Zone and invited AIRBUS to set-up an experience centre in the AP.
Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to the Economic World Forum in Davos was accompanied by his son, Nara Lokesh, and other government officials.
