Akhanda 2 Postponed: Pawan Kalyan’s OG Set for Solo Release on September 25

Date:

The much-anticipated box office clash between Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 and Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG is officially off. Both films were initially locked for September 25, 2025, but the makers of Akhanda 2 have now announced a delay, citing extended post-production work.

This move clears the stage for Pawan Kalyan’s OG to enjoy a solo grand release. With massive buzz already surrounding the film—thanks to chartbuster songs, sold-out overseas bookings, and trending merchandise—OG is expected to make a thunderous opening at the box office. The absence of competition has only strengthened its chances of setting new records.

Balakrishna fans, however, will have to wait a little longer. Industry reports suggest Akhanda 2 could arrive in December, as director Boyapati Seenu and his team are focused on elevating the film’s visuals and scale to surpass the first installment.

For now, all eyes are on Pawan Kalyan as OG heads into theatres for a solo, electrifying release that promises to dominate the big screens this September.
