Tollywood usually prefers drumrolls before unveiling promotional material, but the makers of Lenin flipped the script by releasing the teaser without prior notice. The surprise landed on May 23, a sentimental date for the Akkineni family as it marks the release anniversary of ANR’s final film, Manam.
Titled “Lenin – Manodu Vasthunnaadu,” the teaser paints a warm romantic picture set against a rustic rural backdrop, before teasing bursts of high-voltage action in its closing moments. At its heart lies the love story between Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyasri Borse, with playful banter, breezy moments, and easy chemistry stealing the spotlight.
Both leads slip comfortably into the Rayalaseema dialect, and their village makeovers add texture and authenticity to the visuals. Shivaji and Saranya Pradeep appear in pivotal roles, while Thaman S scores the film, giving the teaser an energetic lift.
Produced by Naga Vamsi and Nagarjuna Akkineni under Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios, Lenin is slated for a theatrical release on June 26. A quiet drop, a loud impact, and a teaser that leaves you smiling.
