Popular Tollywood actor-producer Manchu Vishnu is leaving no stone unturned to make his mythological magnum opus, Kannappa, a must-watch for movie lovers across India. The film boasts an impressive pan-India star cast including Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal, and is slated for a theatrical release on June 27, 2025.
During a recent interview with the Times of India promoting Kannappa, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who portrays Lord Shiva in the film, showered praise on Vishnu Manchu’s dedication. Akshay revealed, “Vishnu ‘lived and breathed’ Kannappa. He spent nearly two hours explaining a particular sequence to me that only lasts six or seven minutes on screen. I’d grasped the idea early, but he was so passionate he kept going.”
Akshay went on to highlight Vishnu’s commitment, describing how the actor was not only leading on screen but was deeply involved behind the scenes as well. “I saw Vishnu acting, coordinating on set, even helping with props and the background. At times, he seemed like an art director. He’s that hands-on.”
