Sony LIV Sets Premiere Date for Alappuzha Gymkhana – Streams from June 13
Mollywood’s recent hit Alappuzha Gymkhana, starring Naslen of Premalu fame, is all set to make its digital debut. After a highly successful theatrical run grossing over ₹65 crores globally, the sports drama will begin streaming on Sony LIV from June 13.
The film will be available in five languages — Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada — expanding its reach to a wider audience. In Telugu, it was released as Gymkhana and received a warm response.
Directed by Khalid Rahman, Alappuzha Gymkhana ranks as the third highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year, trailing only behind Empuraan and Thudarum. The ensemble cast includes Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, Franco Francis, Baby Jean, and Shiva Hariharan.
Produced by Plan B Motion Pictures and Reelistic Studios, with music composed by Vishnu Vijay, the film offers a compelling mix of drama, sportsmanship, and heartwarming moments. The OTT release comes after an 8-week theatrical window.
