Alliance Is The Only Way To Defeat The BJP

Thanks to PM Modi’s anti-AP, and BJP’s defiance towards its allies, the National Party is witnessing its downfall. After a ‘shameful’ defeat in Uttar Pradesh by-elections (for Gorakhpur and Phulpur Lok Sabha seats), the saffron party is about to witness another defeat, this time from the south.
For a very long time, BJP has been betting big on the state of Karnataka. Initially, BJP High Command thought that its alliance with TDP in Andhra Pradesh will help its stakes in Karnataka, given a considerable Telugu voter base. But things turned the other way, given its attitude towards AP’s ‘Special Category Status’. In order to woo Karnataka voters, Modi recently sanctioned 17,000 crores towards Bengaluru Metro.
But shockingly, things did not get any better. Research Firm, C-fore published its recent survey results for 154 constituencies (out of 224 constituencies). The survey was carried between March 1st and March 25th. In its survey, C-fore predicted that Congress will win around 126 seats in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections, with BJP to bag around 70 seats. Deve Gowda’s JD(S) is likely to be limited to 27 seats.
In the 2013 Karnataka Assembly elections, Congress won 122 seats, BJP won 40 seats, and JD(S) winning 40 seats. The survey has once again pointed out the fact that, the downfall of BJP is looming.
