The ex-Congress leader of Nellore, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy who is in dual minds over joining YSRCP has struck in a groove of bad fate. Sources close to his camp reveal his present status in AP Politics.Reddy along with his brother Anam Vivekananda Reddy shifted from Congress to TDP post the humiliation of AP Congress in 2014 election results. Despite their trails to grow stronger in the party, these Nellore leaders failed to get tickets as MPs. After the demise of his brother Viveka, Ramnarayana Reddy completely distanced himself from the CBN and leaning towards Jagan and YSRCP. He took more than 3 months to hold talks with the YSRCP Supreme Jagan to get Atmakur ticket. As the sitting MLA Mekapati Goutham Reddy is reluctant on leaving the constituency for anyone.
Jagan offered Reddy a ticket of YSRCP from Venkatagiri town. But Anam is keen on Atmakur and demanded the same to Jagan. As talks failed, Jagan preferred Ram Kumar for Atmakur. Then the twist happened and Reddy lost the ticket of Venkatagiri as well. The son of former AP CM Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy, Ram Kumar has shifted from BJP to YSRCP for his own Political reasons. Jagan without much thinking gave Venkatagiri to Ram Kumar as Anam is not moving the discussions to another level. Now Anam has lost both the constituencies and he will not get any other place to contest. At the same time, he cannot swing back to TDP as well.
