The pre-release event for the upcoming movie “Animal” held at Mallareddy University stood out from the crowd with its unique setup and enthusiastic student participation. The Animal Pre-Release Event, held at the university’s open ground, drew a massive turnout, leaving Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor pleasantly surprised by the sheer number of attendees.
Superstar Guests and Nostalgic Moments
The Animal Pre-Release Event was graced by the presence of superstar Mahesh Babu and renowned director SS Rajamouli as the chief guests. Interestingly, Mahesh Babu shares a cordial connection with both Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor, which was evident from their interactions on stage.
Bobby Deol recounted an incident from a few years ago when he was shooting at Padmalaya Studio in Hyderabad. He recalled being invited by Krishna to the launch of Mahesh Babu’s film. Bobby Deol playfully asked Mahesh Babu, “Your dad invited me to the muhurta of your movie.. Do you remember?” Mahesh Babu graciously nodded, confirming his recollection of the event.
Anil Kapoor’s Heartfelt Connection with Telugu Cinema
Taking to the stage, Anil Kapoor attempted to speak in Telugu, reading out phrases that he had meticulously written down on his phone. He expressed his gratitude towards the Telugu film industry, which he credits with launching his acting career.
“Is everyone okay? Have you seen the trailer? Did you like it? I have to tell you something. The Telugu industry gave birth to me as an actor. I did my first film in Telugu. My first film was Vamsa Vriksham in 1980. The Great Bapu introduced me. I have come to you again now. Even though I came late, I was the latest. This is a very special feeling for me,” said Anil Kapoor in Telugu.
He further emphasized his long-standing relationship with Mahesh Babu and his family, including Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata Shirodkar. Anil Kapoor commended Mahesh Babu’s dedication to his family and career, attributing his popularity to his strong family values.
A Light-Hearted Dance Sequence
As the Animal Pre-Release Event progressed, anchor Suma playfully requested Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor to showcase their dancing skills. Anil Kapoor, the enthusiastic performer, readily agreed but was unsure of the song selection. Suma suggested that they could dance to any song, prompting Anil Kapoor to inquire about Mahesh Babu’s preference.
Mahesh Babu, with a hint of amusement, playfully tried to deflect the request, suggesting that it wasn’t his fault. However, Anil Kapoor persisted, insisting on Mahesh Babu’s participation. With Ranbir Kapoor also joining in the persuasion, Mahesh Babu eventually joined Anil Kapoor on stage.
The duo proceeded to dance to the popular song “Dole Dole” from the movie “Pokiri”. Mahesh Babu took a small step forward, while Anil Kapoor enthusiastically took two steps. The light-hearted dance sequence elicited cheers and laughter from the audience, adding a touch of fun to the event.
