Anurag Thakur criticizes Opposition regarding the Manipur situation

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, launched a fresh attack on the Opposition, accusing them of avoiding a discussion on the Manipur issue. Thakur expressed disappointment that the discussion on Manipur had not taken place earlier in the Parliament session and accused the Opposition, led by the Congress, of misleading the country.

The Opposition has been demanding a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the violence in Manipur. However, the ruling BJP has accused them of politicizing the matter. Recently, AAP MP Raghav Chadha and RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha submitted a notice to suspend business in the Rajya Sabha to address the situation in Manipur.

The state has been facing ethnic clashes since May 3, resulting in a significant loss of lives and displacement of thousands of people who sought refuge in relief camps.
