Anushka Shetty & Rana Daggubati Promote Ghaati
The much-anticipated action drama Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty and directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, is all set for a grand theatrical release this Friday. As part of promotions, Anushka has now teamed up with her Baahubali co-star Rana Daggubati, adding star power to the campaign.
The duo participated in a fun telephone conversation, where Rana praised Anushka as the perfect fit for intense action dramas.
Anushka on Her Role in Ghaati
Speaking about the film, Anushka said:
“The subject is so apt for the present day. The story is set on the Andhra–Odisha border. It is about a tribe that grows weed. Things came out organically. How a woman named Sheela became a criminal, and how she redeemed her wrongdoings and emerged as a legend, is what the movie is all about.”
Rana on Director Krish
Rana added that director Krish brings a unique sensibility to the project:
“Krish has a different sensibility. I met him during the post-production in Chennai. He is very excited about the film.”
Anushka on Future Projects
Anushka also assured fans that she will continue acting but will remain selective:
“I want to work only on strong scripts. That is why I have been appearing in fewer films.”
