Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati Faces Delay: September Release Now Unlikely?
Fans of Anushka Shetty, fondly known as Sweety, might have to wait longer to see her on the big screen. Her upcoming film Ghaati was initially planned for release this month, but delays in VFX post-production work forced the makers to postpone. Adding to the confusion, the production team has yet to confirm a new release date, leaving fans in suspense.
There were whispers in the industry suggesting a September 5th release, but recent developments suggest that Ghaati is unlikely to arrive next month. Meanwhile, Anushka’s absence from the Baahubali 10 Years Reunion has only deepened fans’ longing to see her both onscreen and in public promotions.
Despite early buzz, the team behind Ghaati—led by director Krish, who is also juggling Hari Hara Veera Mallu—has remained tight-lipped. Neither Krish nor the production banner UV Creations has responded to repeated fan requests for updates.
Sources reveal that post-production is nearing completion, but the team is still undecided about the ideal release window. With Pan-India film Mirai reportedly eyeing a confident September 5th release, the Ghaati team may be aiming for a solo release in October, November, or even December to avoid box-office clashes.
However, the longer the delay, the more the buzz fades, raising concerns among fans. If Ghaati continues to remain under wraps, the team risks losing the momentum they’ve built. It’s clear—the sooner the team locks a date and resumes promotions, the better it will be for everyone involved.
