After a long break, Anushka Shetty is making her much-awaited comeback to the silver screen with Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The action-packed thriller is expected to revive the box office and bring back Sweety’s magic. But the film won’t have a solo run — it will face competition from the small yet promising film Little Hearts, starring Mouli and Sivani.
With Anushka’s star power and Krish’s strong following, Ghaati naturally has the edge. The trailer has already struck a chord, and family audiences, especially women, are keen to see Anushka back in action on the big screen.
On the other hand, Little Hearts is primarily targeted at youth and Gen Z audiences. If Ghaati fails to impress with word of mouth, Little Hearts could surprisingly gain ground. Recent trends show that strong content from small films can outshine big-budget releases with weak scripts, making this clash even more intriguing.
Adding to the excitement, Siva Karthikeyan’s dubbing film Madharaasi is also hitting theatres on September 5, turning the weekend into a busy box office race.
In the end, audiences may get a variety of choices — a star-driven action drama, a youthful entertainer, and a dubbed Tamil flick — making this a true test of content vs star power.
