AP High Court Grants Anticipatory Bail to Chandrababu Naidu in 3 Cases

Date:

Chandrababu Naidu, the TDP leader and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, received a significant reprieve as the Andhra Pradesh High Court granted him anticipatory bail in three cases. The order was issued by Judge T Mallikarjun Rao, who also instructed Naidu to refrain from making any statements that could potentially interfere with or influence the ongoing investigations.

The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) had filed cases against Chandrababu Naidu related to alleged irregularities in the Inner Ring Road (IRR), sand, and liquor matters. Naidu sought anticipatory bail through three separate petitions, and the High Court delivered its verdict on Wednesday after considering arguments from both sides.

In addition to Naidu, former minister Kollu Ravindra and retired IAS officer Srinaresh were also granted anticipatory bail in connection with the liquor case. The court’s decision comes with the condition that Naidu avoids making any comments that might impact the investigation process.
