Artificial Intelligence in the Aviation Industry

Date:

The aviation industry mainly in the commercial aviation sector is constantly trying to improve both in the way of the customer satisfaction and the way it works. Then to improve it started using artificial intelligence. Though artificial intelligence in the aviation industry is still in the beginning stage, some progress has been made already as certain leading careers invest in artificial intelligence.

Few use uses are being implemented like face recognition, baggage check, customer queries and answers, aircraft fuel optimization and factory operations optimization. Artificial can be used beyond the current use cases. Artificial intelligence can make how the aviation industries make how it works. The global aviation industry has been growing eventually.

The aviation industry needs to move beyond its present ways of working and find better ways to optimize resources, improve customer satisfaction and safety records and control costs, and be more responsible environmentally. Data is key to unlocking the potential and the aviation industry must leverage artificial intelligence. As already stated, artificial intelligence in aviation is in the initial stage, but some use cases are already being implemented by some major US carriers.

Passenger identification:

Machines will work end to end tasks like passenger identification and their check-in time at the airport. Delta airlines are using self-service that use facial recognition technology to verify the customer identity by matching customer faces to passport photos.

Baggage tracking:

The airports are inventing new technologies that will support the baggage tracking and screening services. They are thinking that artificial intelligence powered machines will be able to perform this task without the human intervention. As it will enhance the operational efficiency and security and also provide good passenger experience.

Customer assistance:

United airlines have tied up with the Amazon Alex to help customer’s heck in and learn about the flights. This will help the passengers to get information which a passenger needs on or before time.

Tracking progress:

This is the main and very frequent challenge which every transport industry or an aviation industry is being faced. The first thing is to develop analytics what will help them to develop and to process accurate data. It is also a challenge to itself that what kind of analytics can help it to work, as nowadays customer satisfaction is going to be one of the most important factors of success in any business or in any industry.

So any industry has to focus that what kind of analytics will determine that airlines have been improving eventually on a basis of the customer satisfaction parameters.

It is surprising that a sector as important as the aviation industry has been trying to use artificial intelligence. As artificial intelligence in the aviation is trying to pick up its pace, it can probably be a few mergers or acquisitions and even may happen for the closure of the small airlines which will not be able to afford the investment which it needed to have. Now the artificial intelligence seems to be the best option for any kind of aviation to the next level.
