The central government who has been testing the patience of a common man by not reducing the fuel rates has finally responded on it after a long time. Having elections in four states around the corner, the BJP led central government under the leadership of Modi has decided to reduce the excise duty by 1.50 rupee.
The Finance Minister Arun Jaitley stated that he will be writing to all the state governments to reduce the taxes such that it would be beneficiary to the consumer. Arun Jaitley also told that the central government will ask the oil companies to reduce the price by further one rupee. The Andhra Pradesh stands first among all the other states who have cut the fuel rates by 2 rupees a way long back.
Once again the Finance minister has pushed all the blame on International crude prices for the increase in fuel rates. Being the election time, the central government has finally responded to fuel rates.
