Asian Nations PMs to attend India’s next Republic Day!!
Republic Day Parade, 2018 promises a great sight to observe as it will display perhaps India’s biggest ‘Diplomatic’ outreach ever. The VIP enclosure, according to government sources confirmed that the Prime Ministers of both Singapore and Vietnam have confirmed their participation in the event which rolls out India’s military strength and also colorful cultural displays from all states of India.
Vietnam and Singapore governments top the list to confirm their participation in R-Day celebrations, with Malaysian PM too is expected to attend, a reliable source asserted.India is waiting a positive response from other Asian leaders in few weeks’ time. It is the first time, India is going to see so many nations’ chiefs at the R-Day celebrations, after the years 1968 and 1974 saw more than one guest.
The aim is to focus on strengthening security and defense ties with countries in the region. Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj reiterated in the past that ‘India and Asian countries not only share a common geographical space but also face common traditional and non-traditional security challenges. The freedom of navigation and respect for international law is vital.’
India’s trade with Asian also growing steadily with ASEAN being a fourth largest trading partner. India’s trade reports show an increase of 7.14% in one year.
