Aspiring for Perfection: A 10-Fold Dream:
Ananya Garikipati made history as the first Indian to secure both a gold and a silver medal at the Junior Star Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship and Salut Cup in Moscow in 2019. Her journey in gymnastics has since continued to flourish, and her remarkable performance at the recent University International Sports Festival in Moscow caught the attention of Irina Viner, the Head Coach and President of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, who extended a prestigious invitation for Ananya to train under her.
Irina’s invitation was prompted by a report in a Moscow tabloid revealing Ananya’s desire to train under her tutelage. Ananya is elated by this opportunity, describing it as a dream come true and an immense honor to be mentored by a legendary coach. She has always aspired to train under Irina, who has coached athletes to world championships and Olympic medals, making this a once-in-a-lifetime chance.

However, Ananya also acknowledges that this new opportunity adds fresh pressure to her performance. Remarkably, the 20-year-old has been conducting her own fitness training up to this point.
