The ‘Scary Fast’ event at Apple officially began on Tuesday morning. Apple introduced a few brand-new Macs during the launch event that come equipped with the most recent iteration of the company’s proprietary processor.
The new M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max circuits are the “first personal computer chips” constructed using the more effective 3-nanometer technology, according to Apple.
According to the Verge, the trio of processors boasts a “faster and more efficient CPU” in addition to an enhanced GPU that supports mesh shading, ray tracing, and Dynamic Caching, which optimizes the device’s memory use while doing activities.
Apple said that the new 24-inch iMac’s M3-flavored upgrade is twice as fast as its M1-equipped predecessor. The revised iMac has a 1080p camera, a 4.5K retina display with over 1 billion colors, and Wi-Fi 6E capability in addition to the new CPU.
Along with having up to 24GB of unified memory, the iMac is available in seven different colors: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. Accessories that match the iMac’s color scheme are also included, however they’re all Lightning-connected.
The price of the 24-inch iMac, equipped with an eight-core CPU, is USD 1,299, while the ten-core model costs USD 1,499. It’s available for preorder now and will be delivered on November 7th.
Not all of the devices are getting M3 upgrades, including the iMac. Aside from that, Apple unveiled two brand-new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, each sporting an M3 Pro or M3 Max CPU.
A 22-hour battery life, a six-speaker sound system, a Mini LED display, and up to 128GB of RAM are features shared by both laptops.
The Verge reports that they come in silver and space black and have a new covering that is supposed to help prevent fingerprints.
Priced at $1,999 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro processor and $2,499 for the 16-inch M3 Pro. These MacBook Pro models will go on sale on November 7th, and preorders are already open.
