Ather 450X e-scooter is one of the quickest scooters in the 125cc
Ather Energy, an Indian electric vehicle company, has announced the launch of a new e-scooter called the ‘450S’. Priced at Rs 1,29,999, the 450S aims to provide performance-centric electric mobility to commuters in the country. Bookings for the scooter will begin in July.
According to Tarun Mehta, the Co-Founder, and CEO of Ather Energy, the e-scooter 450S will offer innovative technological features in the performance scooter segment, enhancing the riding experience and safety while maintaining its performance capabilities. The scooter is expected to have a range of 115 km under Indian driving conditions (IDC) and a top speed of 90 km/h.
Ather Energy also announced revised prices for its 450X product line, taking into account the updated FAME-II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India) framework. The FAME-II subsidy, which played a significant role in accelerating electric vehicle adoption in India, now offers Rs 10,000 per kWh subsidy with a maximum cap of 15% of the ex-factory price.
Ravneet S. Phokela, the Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, stated that the 450X with the Pro Pack will be available at a price of Rs 1,65,000 (ex-showroom Bangalore), which is only slightly higher than the prices in March 2023. The 450X is one of Ather Energy’s best-selling scooters known for its advanced technology and performance.
Overall, Ather Energy aims to provide high-performance electric scooters with advanced features and leverage government subsidies to make their products more accessible and affordable for customers in India.
