Baahubali Returns to Theatres This October for 10-Year Celebration
Nearly a decade after it first shook Indian cinema, Baahubali: The Beginning is heading back to theaters. As the landmark film approaches its 10th anniversary, producer Shobu Yarlagadda took to X (formerly Twitter) to reflect on the intense pressure of its release week—and announced plans for a special re-release this October.
Directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah, the film was a game-changer when it debuted in 2015. From its groundbreaking visual effects and action choreography to its epic storytelling and scale, Baahubali raised the bar for Indian filmmaking.
Shobu shared nostalgic screenshots and fan reactions from the film’s original release, reigniting the excitement that surrounded its debut. He confirmed that this October’s re-release won’t be a regular theatrical run—instead, it will be a fan celebration, complete with surprises and exclusive content.
Even after all these years, Baahubali continues to captivate audiences, and this upcoming re-release promises to rekindle the magic for longtime fans and first-time viewers alike.
