Baahubali: The Epic’s Runtime Sparks Debate—5Hours 27 Minutes?!
As Baahubali marks its 10-year milestone, the makers have announced a grand cinematic celebration: Baahubali: The Epic, a combined version of both parts. But the runtime has fans talking.
Slated for a theatrical re-release on October 31, Baahubali: The Epic is a special edit merging Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion into one cohesive experience. However, when BookMyShow listed the runtime as 5 hours and 27 minutes, it triggered a wave of concern across social media.
Many fans, while excited to revisit the grandeur on the big screen, expressed doubts about sitting through such an extended runtime, nearly six hours, including an interval.
To calm the growing buzz, the Baahubali team responded with humor and assurance:
“Haha… No worries! We won’t take up your whole day. It’ll be around the same time as an exciting IPL match.”
This cheeky clarification suggests that the final runtime could be around four hours, making it more manageable for theatrical viewing. Still, fans will have to wait until release day to know the exact length.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Satyaraj, and Nasser—a cast that redefined Indian epic cinema and created a global phenomenon.
