During a gathering, Congress aspirants for MLA tickets from Backward Classes emphasized the importance of the party honoring its commitment to allocate 34 seats, as originally pledged in The commitment was initially made within the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) and the Pradesh Election Committee (PE).
In recognition of the pivotal role played by the Backward Class communities in strengthening the party, they underlined that the Congress would be unable to secure a governing position without their support. These leaders are scheduled to meet with AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Sonia Gandhi, with the issues to be formally addressed in the screening committee and the Central Election Committee (CEC).
Furthermore, the gathering expressed its gratitude to Rahul Gandhi for advocating for OBC, SC, and ST reservations within the Women’s Reservation Bill.
