Nandamuri Balakrishna, born on June 10, 1960 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to N. T. Rama Rao and his first wife Basavatarakam, spent his formative years in Madras since the Telugu film industry was primarily located there at the time.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, who embarked on his film career at the age of 14, has maintained a steadfast presence in the industry ever since. He is the sixth son of Telugu actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (N. T. Rama Rao), and has primarily focused his work on Telugu cinema.

Over the course of more than four decades in the industry, he has delivered memorable performances in several notable films, including “Narasimha Naidu” (2001), “Simha” (2010), “Pandurangadu” (2008), and “Sri Rama Rajyam” (2011). Balakrishna has received recognition for his acting prowess through accolades such as Nandi Awards and the South Indian International Movie Award for Best Acting. In addition to his successful film career, he is also an elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
