Nandamuri Balakrishna is once again demonstrating the kind of dedication to his profession that his legendary father, N.T. Rama Rao, was widely known for. The actor recently underwent knee surgery after sustaining an injury while filming an action sequence for his 111th film. Despite doctors reportedly advising him to take around two months of rest, Balakrishna is said to be determined to return to the sets as early as September.
The reason behind his urgency is reportedly his desire to avoid delaying the production schedule and putting additional financial pressure on the producer. His approach has drawn comparisons with senior NTR, who was known for placing great importance on protecting his producers and ensuring that productions stayed on schedule.
Throughout his illustrious career, NTR reportedly continued working whenever possible despite injuries and physical challenges, particularly when production commitments were involved. His dedication during films such as Palleturi Pilla and Sardar Paparayudu remains an important part of his professional legacy.
Balakrishna now appears to be following a similar path. According to reports, he is planning to complete his major portions in September, with the remaining patchwork expected to be wrapped up in October. Post-production work is reportedly scheduled for November, allowing the team to target a December theatrical release.
However, a Sankranthi release is also said to be under consideration depending on how the production progresses.
December has traditionally been a favourable period for Balakrishna, with films such as Pattabhishekam, Lorry Driver, and Akhanda arriving during the month. If the current schedule remains unchanged, Balakrishna’s determination to return to work soon could once again underline the professional discipline associated with the Nandamuri legacy.
