BC Ministers Thank AP CM for Caste Census:
Ministers and elected representatives representing the backward classes convened in the chambers of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. Together, they expressed their appreciation to the Chief Minister for his announcement in the assembly regarding the commencement of a caste census in Andhra Pradesh.
Among those in attendance were ministers V. Rajani, J. Ramesh, Ch. S. Venugopal Krishna, and K.V. Ushasri Charan, along with government whip K. Dharmasri, as well as MLAs M. Sankaranarayana and P. Satish.
Earlier, when introducing the resolution for a caste census in the State Legislative Assembly, Information Minister Chelluboyina Venugopal Krishna emphasized the urgency of the matter. Information Minister Emphasizes Urgency of Conducting Caste Census.
It is imperative to determine the population growth of each caste promptly. As the national census does not include caste-wise data, the YSRC government is urging the central government to undertake a caste-wise census, which is vital for ensuring social justice.”
