Bhaagamathie Trailer Review

Tollywood Lady Superstar Anushka is known for her larger-than-life roles on the silver screen, competing with other star heroes. It is no surprise that Anushka’s films can bring down other hero’s movies if they lack content. Anushka will be seen as an IAS Officer in her upcoming film ‘Bhaagamathie’.
The film’s teaser caused a rage after the actress was seen crucifying her arms to the wall in the teaser, released a couple of weeks ago. With the film’s trailer out, the expectations on the film have gone to a new high. Few sections have been nagging the Tollywood’s Lady Superstar about her overweight and even advised her to quit films.
The beauty answered such critics with her toned and slimmer body on the screen. Anushka has her own set of exclusive fans, along with the general audience, who were eagerly waiting for the film’s trailer. The trailer has been finally out and is receiving great response from everyone.
What is in the trailer?
The trailer opens with Unni Mukundan, who is seen as a social activist, fighting for the poor and needy. Anushka, who is sporting as an IAS officer, soon joins him for the social cause, and even in his life. While Unni Mukunda is shot, Anushka will be seen walking along the long corridors in a jail. Soon a high-ranked police officer comes asking for Anushka.
Mysteriously, Anushka will be put in a ghostlike and ethereal bungalow. And surprisingly, we get to see the second facet of Anushka, the ‘Bhaagamathie’ of a different era. The dialogue, ‘Evadu badithe vaadu ravadaniki, eppudu badithe appudu povadaniki idemaina pasuvula doddaa? Bhaagamathie addaa! Lekkalu telaali! Okkadini ponivvanu!
Performance:
Anushka outclassed her previous performance in Arundhati, with Bhaagamathie. The actress clearly showed the difference in the societal IAS role and the historical Bhaagamathie. We can expect Unni Mukunda to do justice his role, given his glimpse in the trailer. The rest of the cast will only add depth and intensity to the film.
Technical:
Take a bow, SS Thaman for the amazing BGM that gives us goose-bumps. If Anushka is the hero of the film, Thaman’s BGM (& music) is the second heroine. The photography is gripping and builds the intensity in the scene. The script is likely to start with a social cause, and then later, a conspiracy is likely to lead Anushka into that bungalow, evoking the spirit of Bhaagamathie. If the director can manage to build the intensity without any lag throughout the 2+ hours, Bhaagamathie will surely roar at the box office. Editing will play a key role in the film’s success.
