Bigg Boss 9 Telugu: Contestants List and Highlights from the Grand Launch
The most popular reality show on Telugu television, Bigg Boss Telugu, has officially returned with its 9th season. Having completed 8 seasons, the show is back with fresh twists, exciting changes, and a brand-new mix of contestants.
The grand premiere took place on September 7, hosted by King Nagarjuna, who once again charmed the audience with his energetic presence. As promised, this season is packed with surprises. Nagarjuna announced that this year’s concept would bring celebrities and commoners face-to-face in the Bigg Boss house, making the competition more thrilling than ever.
Bigg Boss made it clear that every contestant would have to face tough challenges and prove their strength to survive. Along with the celebrity participants, six common people have also been given a golden opportunity to enter the house. In total, 15 contestants stepped into the Bigg Boss 9 journey during the premiere episode.
The first contestant introduced was serial actress Tanuja Puttaswamy, who became popular among Telugu audiences with the hit serial Mudda Mandaram. She had also previously participated in Star Maa Lo Kukku alongside the Jathi Ratnalu team. During her introduction, Tanuja shared that she hadn’t informed her father about her Bigg Boss entry. Host Nagarjuna reassured her by saying he would take care of his “daughters” inside the house.
