Bigg Boss 9 Telugu is just days away from its grand premiere on Star Maa. As part of the lead-up, a special pre-show titled Agnipariksha is being held to shortlist commoners who will enter the Bigg Boss house this season.
The shoot of the pre-show has already begun in Hyderabad, with Navdeep, Bindu Madhavi, and Abhijeet R stepping in as judges. These three will evaluate the contestants, finalize the top commoners, and send them to join the celebs inside the Bigg Boss house.

The latest update is that Agnipariksha will premiere on August 22, 2025, exclusively on JioHotstar. There will be no TV telecast for this pre-show. Viewers who want to follow the selection process must tune in to the OTT platform.
Meanwhile, the main show of Bigg Boss 9 Telugu is expected to kick off on September 7, 2025, with Akkineni Nagarjuna returning as host for the sixth consecutive time.
