Bigg Boss 9 Telugu Week 1: Shrashti Varma Eliminated, Bharani Becomes Permanent Owner
The first elimination of Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9 is here! As expected, popular choreographer Shrashti Varma was evicted after failing to impress the audience in her debut week. Despite her fame outside the house, she couldn’t connect much with viewers and received the fewest votes.
In Saturday’s episode, host Nagarjuna schooled several housemates for their behavior, especially Manish and Priya. At one point, when Priya forgot an incident involving Ramu Rathod and Shrashti, Nag quipped, “You are a doctor, take medicine for forgetfulness,” leaving everyone in splits.
Sunday’s episode was more colorful, with Teja Sajja and Ritika Nayak gracing the stage to promote their blockbuster Mirai. They entertained both the audience and housemates by playing fun games and making contestants dance.
Later, Nag announced a special task to determine the first permanent owner of the house. The contestants were split into two teams – Red (Bharani, Ramu Rathod, Shrashti Varma, Tanuja) and Blue (Sanjana, Emmanuel, Ritu Chaudhary, Suman Shetty), with Flora Shiney acting as the sanchalak.
The task involved collecting, stamping, and securing papers in ballot boxes while blocking the rival team. Intense clashes broke out, with Bharani aggressively targeting Blue team members. Sanjana’s mistake of leaving papers visible gave the Red team an edge, and they eventually won.
Finally, after voting, Bharani was chosen as the first permanent owner of the house. He also gained the power to appoint an assistant and chose Tanuja for the role.
With eliminations, drama, promotions, and heated tasks, Bigg Boss 9 Telugu is slowly picking up momentum for the weeks ahead.
