Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna and his Australian men’s doubles partner, Matthew Ebden, have advanced to the second round of the US Open after defeating Christopher O’Connell and Aleksandar Vukic in straight sets.

During the match, the 43-year-old Bopanna and 35-year-old Ebden managed to convert three out of five break points and did not allow their Australian opponents any break opportunities. The Indo-Australian pair, who had previously reached the semifinals at Wimbledon, secured their first break in the ninth game of the opening set, taking it 5-4. They continued their momentum into the second set, securing an early break and quickly advancing to a 5-2 lead before ultimately winning the match.
In the next round, They will face the winner of the first-round match between Aleksandar Kovacevic and Nicolas Moreno De Alboran from the USA and the team of Andrey Golubev from Kazakhstan and Russia’s Roman Safiullin.
