K. T. Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), pleaded with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to step in and preserve Manipur on Thursday. Rama Rao expressed his outrage over the Manipur incident in which two women were subjected to atrocious acts of violence by a mob.

Currently, a sad & nauseating reminder of how barbarism has become commonplace in the new India is the spectacle of Kuki women being paraded naked and subjected to sexual assault by the Meitei mob in Manipur!! While the Union Government observes in perfect quiet, there is this horrible violence and total breakdown of Law & Order. Where are you, PM @narendramodi Ji and HM @AmitShah Ji, when Manipur burns to the ground? Please put everything else aside and devote all of your time and effort to #SaveManipur.
