Bus overturns in Gujarat’s Lakhtar taluka, injuring 40 people

A state bus toppled on a road near Wana village, Lakhtar taluka in Gujarat on Sunday night, causing up to 40 injuries, according to authorities.

The bus that toppled was on its route from Deodar to Junagadh, according to the officials.
According to BJP MLA Jagdish Makwana, “An ST bus traveling from Deodar to Junagadh toppled near Wana village at approximately 12.15 am.


Around 40 of the bus’s 55 to 60 passengers had injuries and were sent to the hospital.
Two passengers had serious injuries. More information is awaited.


In the meantime, on Sunday morning near Chengam in Tamil Nadu’s Thiruvannamalai District, a vehicle and a truck crashed, killing seven persons.


The police apparently arrived at the location as soon as they were informed, according to the information. People who had been hurt were admitted right away to the nearby hospital. A case has been filed with Chengam Police, and an investigation is ongoing.
