Chandrababu Naidu invited Alibaba Data Centre In Andhra Pradesh

Don’t get worried folks! We are not talking about Alibaba and the 40 thieves here. The retail giant, Alibaba Enterprises, stepped into Cloud Computing to compete with its rival, Amazon Inc. Alibaba is already running a data center in India. During his Davos trip, CM Chandrababu Naidu invited Alibaba Cloud President Simon Hu to establish a data center in the state.
The CM briefed about various government initiatives, and availability of necessary infrastructure to promote industrial growth the newly formed state. Along with Chandrababu, IT Minister Nara Lokesh too was present in the meeting.
After a brief conversation, Simon Hu promised that Alibaba would establish its 2nd Data Centre in India in the state of Andhra Pradesh. According to the company’s representatives, they will be establishing Alibaba Data Centre in Andhra Pradesh by the year-end.Data Centres not only act as cloud storage but also act as breeding grounds for path-breaking research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning technologies.
Similarly, in another meeting Chandrababu Naidu requested Ravi Raheja, founder of Raheja Group, to come up with Mindspace Business centers in Amaravati, Vishakhapatnam, and Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh. There is already one Mindspace Business Centre in Hyderabad.The CM’s Davos trip is surely a success story as on papers. Only time will tell whether it will materialize into reality in the near future.
