Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara: No Songs or Heroine? A Bold Attempt to Pack Theatres Again
Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to return with Vishwambhara, one of the most anticipated Telugu films of 2025. Directed by Vashishta, who earlier impressed audiences with Bimbisara, this movie carries heavy expectations, especially after Chiru’s previous outing, Bhola Shankar, failed to make an impact.
What makes Vishwambhara especially intriguing is the bold creative choice—early buzz suggests the film will have minimal commercial elements like songs or a traditional heroine track, a stark contrast to Chiranjeevi’s usual masala entertainers. While Ashika Ranganath and Trisha Krishnan are part of the cast, the focus is expected to remain on a powerful story rather than romance or dance sequences.
The teaser and initial songs released have already sparked curiosity with their grand visuals and intense tone. The film aims to revive Chiranjeevi’s box office dominance, and fans are hopeful for a strong comeback.
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi is not slowing down. While Vishwambhara is still under production, he has lined up two more major projects:
-
One with Anil Ravipudi, known for hits like F2 and Bhagwant Kesari, promises an energetic commercial entertainer.
-
Another with Srikanth Odela, the director of 2023’s critically acclaimed Dasara. Srikanth, who was earlier an associate of Sukumar, is expected to bring a raw and intense story to the big screen.
With these three diverse films lined up, Chiranjeevi is aiming to reinvent his legacy and prove he still holds unmatched mass appeal.
