Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on Viswambhara, touted to be one of the most ambitious and expensive projects of his career. Directed by Vassishta and produced by UV Creations, the fantasy action drama has been in the works for quite some time, with the team heavily focused on enhancing the VFX and visual grandeur.
After weeks of speculation and rumors about delays in selling non-theatrical rights, the fog has finally cleared. The makers have successfully closed the deals for both digital and satellite rights, putting an end to financial concerns surrounding the project.
As per the latest industry buzz, ZEE Network has bagged the satellite rights of Viswambhara for a hefty price. Simultaneously, Amazon Prime Video has reportedly acquired the digital streaming rights, ensuring the film will have a massive reach post its theatrical run.
With these lucrative deals, the film’s producers are said to have recovered a major chunk of the investment, easing financial pressure and clearing the way for focused work on post-production.
However, the big question now is the theatrical release date. Speculations suggest that Viswambhara may be postponed to late 2025 or early 2026, depending on the pace of the remaining CGI work.
Featuring Trisha as the female lead and a strong supporting cast including Kunal Kapoor, Ashika Ranganath, and Ramya Pasupaleti, the film is shaping up to be a visual spectacle.
